Designed by Commander John Harris , Michael Wolveridge and Peter Thomson with the aim of producing New Zealand’s first internationally recognised golf course.

Wairakei International Golf Course is located in the heart of the North Island. Set amongst the spectacular scenery of the Lake Taupo region. Sprawling across 450 acres the course shows varied terrain complete with water, hills and forest along side the 108 well placed bunkers. The course and facilities are open to the public 364 days of the year.
