Te Awamutu is a pretty golf course, easy on the eye and a treat to walk, with narrow tree-lined fairways, more undulating on the back nine than the front.
Like the Grange golf course in Auckland, it’s a course that requires “triple A” accuracy, and on its longer par 4’s, big drives.
Six of the par 4’s here average 380 meters in length, which means two big shots to reach those greens in regulation.
There may be a little let off on the two par fives, which average out at about 450 meters, but there are also two long par threes at 194 and 175 meters.

The club boasts an all weather driving range and practise facilities. Te Awamutu Golf Club is an all weather, 18 Hole Course renowned for Tree Lined Fairways and premium greens.
The course is easy walking and an enjoyable challenge. A course of contrasting lengths and colours. It is a popular stopover for golfers who want to visit the Waitomo Caves and surrounding sceinic attractions the waikato region offers.
